Born and raised in Chicago, I am a writer, editor, and storyteller who lives in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston.

My short stories and essays can be found in Taint,Taint,Taint Magazine, Brevity Blog, Literary Landscapes, The Rumpus, Pangyrus, Hippocampus Magazine, Blood Orange Review, fwriction:review, and elsewhere.

I’ve told on the stages of The Risk! Fugitive Stories, The Moth, Story Collider, and The World Channel’s Stories from the Stage produced by GBH public television.

I am Fellow of the Kimbilio Center for Black Fiction (2013) and has also received funding from Virginia Center for Creative Arts (2020), Ragdale (2021), Salty Quill (2021), the Mass Cultural Council for the Arts (2023) and Write on Door County (2023).
